I agree that it all depends on personal preferences. For some, even minimal hints ruin the atmosphere, while for others, comfort is more important. A toggle really does seem like the best solution.

I completely agree with you that individual comfort is a significant area for increased productivity. I've also learned about the flexibility of other areas. Recently, I had to handle some import tasks.
